Traveling to Capri, Italy
A stunning island with dramatic views and delicious food that has allured people to its shores for thousands of years. This is my personal notes for when visiting the Glamorous Island of Capri.
Exploring The Island
The Island of Capri, located in the Bay of Naples, is made up of two towns: Capri and Anacapri. Both towns see their share of tourists, but Capri is seen as glamorous with more going on, while Anacapri is quieter and lazier, in a good way. The Island is where to relax, go to the beach, and enjoy the good life.
Things To Do and See in Capri
Capri is the place to be on the island. You will find it bustling with tourists all day and, in the evening, filled with people looking to enjoy a night out. Think la dolce vita, the sweet life. Expect this to be the more expensive side of the island in terms of food and drink.

Boat Trip to Explore around the Island.
*If you want to visit the Blue Grotto, make sure you are on the first boat of the day going directly to the Grotto; the tide is low, and you prefer a clear and sunny day to get the full effect.
Things To Do and See in Anacapri
Though becoming more popular, Anacapri is the quieter side of the island. Think la dolce fa niente, the sweetness of doing nothing. If you're looking for a spot to take it easy, stroll the town, which becomes very quiet in the late afternoon once all the tourists have gone back to the mainland.

The Restaurant Recommendations
My approach to Restaurants and food: I am by no means a restaurant critic. For my rating, I use a 1 - 10 system; 1 - 4 range from horrible to okay but not worth returning to, and 5 - 7 are what I consider benchmark, you can get great bites, and it is worth returning, and 8 - 10, well they are divine and outstanding food, meals that you dream about. For my recommendations, I will keep to the higher end of the scale that said I was only there for a short amount of time, and there are many that I did not have the chance to try.
A few tips: When traveling to any major city, try to go to restaurants that are not on main roads or in front of tourist sites; my goal is always to get away from as many tourists as possible. I tend to notice that you find restaurants with delicious food, local eaters, and more reasonable prices. There are always exceptions, but melting into the local spots is a nearly always safe bet.
*I have not personally visited all these restaurants, but all were highly recommended and are on my list of must-go.
