Above dramatic coastal cliffs overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento draws you in with it's pastel-hued buildings, winding streets, its sea air and it's signature Italian summer vibes.
What To See
Sorrento is the beginning of the magic of the Amalfi Coast. It’s where beautiful and drawing-dropping views meet sensational food, all while being centrally located enough to see so many other nearby destinations. Sorrento demands to be enjoyed; it’s neither a bustling city nor a sleepy beachside town. Here are the notes I compiled for myself when I last visited Sorrento and have kept up to date.

The Restaurant Recommendations
Travel Tip for Authentic Dining: When exploring a new city, venture beyond tourist-saturated main streets and famous landmark restaurants. Seek out eateries frequented by locals, which typically offer more genuine cuisine, more reasonable prices, and a more authentic cultural experience. While exceptions always exist, immersing yourself in local dining spots is a reliable strategy for discovering the true culinary heart of a destination.
*I have not personally visited all these restaurants, but all were highly recommended and are on my list of must-go.

*Your time in Sorrento is never long enough, so don’t bother going to restaurants less than a 4.0; spend a couple of minutes researching restaurants, and don’t fall for the host running up to you and trying to get you to their restaurant.
